Kia ora parents and whanau,

As we move toward the end of term, the weeks have been filled with energy, exploration, and joyful learning. Primary and Secondary students have enjoyed a number of fun and enriching field trips, each offering new opportunities to connect classroom learning with the world around them. Across the school, classes are also busy preparing for their end-of-term activities and celebrations. We look forward to sharing these special moments with you in the coming days as we wrap up another wonderful term of learning at New Zealand School Jakarta.

Thank you for your Support

A heartfelt thank you to our NZSJ community for your generous support of the rescue and relief efforts in Sumatra. Together, we raised over IDR 15,000,000, a great contribution that reflects our spirit of kotahitanga and care for others. These funds will be sent to IMI, who are currently on the ground in Aceh providing essential assistance to affected families.

If you are still interested in offering support, you may donate directly to IMI, who continue to coordinate first-response efforts and deliver essential supplies to affected areas. Another organisation actively responding in Aceh is Carbon Ethics, where one of our school parents , Innandya - Rumi's Mom (from Ruru class), is part of the team. Their staff were on the ground supporting ecosystem restoration alongside local communities when the extreme rainfall struck, and they continue to work closely with those affected to provide urgent support. Your contribution will help ensure that immediate support reaches those who need it most.

Weekend Activity with Oh Bombay!

Parents with children aged 5–10 are warmly invited to join Oh Bombay’s Magic Apron and Movie Time activity! Kids will enjoy a fun hands-on cooking session with a movie to round out the experience. It’s a great way for them to learn, create, and have a wonderful time together. For more information or to register, please contact the number on the poster below.

Holiday Bazaar and Globalisation Fair

You are warmly invited to our Holiday Bazaar and Globalisation Fair on Friday, 12 December 2025, from 8:00am to 11:30am at New Zealand School Jakarta.

This special event will showcase our students’ learning from this term’s Unit of Inquiry on Globalisation. Primary and Secondary students will be hosting their own booths, sharing their projects, ideas, and creations. There will also be a series of performances throughout the morning. Alongside the fair, we will have a Holiday Bazaar with a variety of stalls for families to enjoy.

We look forward to celebrating our students’ learning and welcoming our school community to this festive end-of-year event. Please note this is a half day for all students. Dismissal will be at 11:30am.
