Kia ora parents and whānau,
Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our recent Coffee Morning. We truly appreciate your time, engagement, and ongoing support of our school community. It was wonderful to come together, share updates, and discuss the exciting developments ahead for our school.
In this newsletter, we will highlight and recap some of the key announcements shared during the Coffee Morning, including our upcoming renovation plans, the introduction of our new canteen provider, and the new teachers who have been confirmed for the next academic year. We look forward to continuing this journey together as we grow and strengthen our community.
Renovations and Improvements for Next AY
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best learning environment for our students, we are excited to share several facility improvements planned for the upcoming academic year. These enhancements are designed to support students’ learning, wellbeing, and overall school experience as our community continues to grow.
- New Canteen and Additional Classrooms – Construction will begin within the next couple weeks to provide more comfortable and functional spaces for students, including a new canteen area and classrooms.
- Library Enhancement Project – The library improvement has already started and is expected to be completed by the end of May, creating a more engaging and inspiring reading environment for our students.
- Primary Playground Development – We are currently exploring designs for a brand-new primary playground, with an estimated completion date of December 2026. We hope this new space will encourage active play, creativity, and outdoor learning experiences.
New Canteen Provider
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Sodexo Indonesia as our new canteen service provider for the upcoming academic year. Sodexo is a global leader in food services and facility management, serving schools, universities, hospitals, and organisations worldwide with a strong commitment to quality, nutrition, hygiene, and food safety. While the new canteen building is currently under development and will officially begin operations in the next academic year, Sodexo will start offering a pre-order lunch service from 11 May 2026 until 10 June 2026. This initiative allows our school community to experience their nutritious and well-balanced meal selections in advance.

At NZSJ, our community has always grown through the meaningful connections and recommendations shared by our families and staff. We are delighted to introduce our Referral Programme - a simple way to invite friends and families to experience the warmth of the NZSJ community while enjoying a special reward together.
When a referred student successfully enrolls, both the referrer and the new family will receive a FREE Lunch Program for one term (for one child each), provided by our canteen partner, Sodexo. Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping our community continue to grow together.

New Teachers Confirmed for 2026-2027
We are delighted to welcome several new teachers who have officially confirmed their arrival for the 2026–2027 academic year. Bringing experience, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning, they will be a wonderful addition to our growing NZSJ community. We look forward to introducing them to our families soon. A few more announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
